For some reason, going to Orchard and sitting on a hard bench was almost always more fun than going to some sumptuous after-opening party elsewhere.rnThe other day I noticed that next to the A.P.C. boutique on Mulackstrasse in Berlin, another store had big pictures of Colin de Land in its window-blowups from the cover of the new book by Dennis Balk. It was hard to tell whether the store was advertising the book or using the posters to advertise its own wares.
