Dozens arrested in hundreds of protests nationwide

Over 300 protests against the Dakota Access oil pipeline project took place yesterday with dozens of arrests, including about 39 people accused of disorderly conduct in New York City. Protesters along with lawmakers showed their support for the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, which says the pipeline could endanger their water supply and destroy sacred lands (E&E Daily, Nov. 16).
