A former staffer for Federal Energy Regulatory Commission member Bernard McNamee has been tapped to leadthe Electricity Consumers Resource Council.Travis Fisher will assume the role of president and CEO of the trade group dedicated to industrial electricity usersnext week, ELCON announced yesterday.Fisher served as an economic adviser for McNamee over the past year. McNamee is expected to exit thecommission by June as his term expires."Like the rest of the country, ELCON members are dealing with extremeuncertainty amid a global pandemic, an international price war in the oilindustry, and an upcoming national election cycle - not to mention all theongoing policy changes in the electricity sector at the national, regional andstate level," Fisher said in a statement.
