A pipeline company must pay $3.3 million for its part in a 2015 oil spill in Santa Barbara County, a Californiajudge decided yesterday.The sentence follows a local jury verdict last year finding Plains All American Pipeline guilty of failing to maintaina highly pressurized pipeline that gushed crude onto Refugio State Beach."Plains All American Pipeline's criminal behavior was responsible for the oil leak that despoiled our coastline andendangered our environment," California Attorney General Xavier Becerra (D) said in a statement."My office has zero tolerance for these types of criminal acts," he said.
