DRAGON BREATHES NEW FIRE INTOWALTHAMSTOW PARK

The spectacular 'dragon of Walthamstow' has touched down in the aptly named Wingfield Park, to the delight of children and local residents. The 9m long dragon is located such that it opens up part of the park which was previously less accessible. Carved in oak by leading chainsaw artist Will Lee, the dragon is split into three parts and doubles as seating and a climbing structure, encouraging different generations to experience it simultaneously. The children who tested it out for the first time at a spirited community event were unanimously awe-inspired.
