ECHOs Best in Marketing Mai

At the most recent Direct Marketing Assn. annual gathering, the International ECHO Awards were bestowed. A total of 130 prizes were presented to multichannel direct-marketing campaigns from 38 countries. There were four North American gold winners in print-related categories: NewPage Corp., Lanier Worldwide/Ricoh Americas, Holland America Line, and Tourism British Columbia. Seven silver-winning entries also are depicted here, including a direct-mail piece from the U.S. Postal Service. (Two other winning entries not shown here include IBM's "CEO Study: High Impact Print" and Runner's World magazine/Rodale, "Get Fit, Stay Fit.") DMA 08 runs October 11-16 at the Las Vegas Convention Center and will feature the next round of ECHO Awards, plus some 500 exhibitors, 150 educational sessions, roundtables, case studies, white papers, research reports and emcee Jay Leno.
