An overview of NextGen benefits and accomplishments is available in the 2012 update to the NextGen Implementation Plan, published by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) The 2012 NextGen Plan specifically nentions GPS/GNSS as follows: Performance Based Navigation (PBN). The current aircraft fleet is well equipped with PBN capability.
