Veolia wins second Slovak tender

Veolia Voda has won its second Slovak tender in several days and says it now aims to run around 40% of Slovakia's water sector. Veolia won a 30-year contract to operate water services at Podtatranska vodarenska spolocnosti (PVS) based in the eastern Slovak city of Poprad. The news came days after it won its first Slovak tender at Stredoslovenska vodarenska spolocnost (StVS), which is based in the central Slovak city of Banska Bystrica. Philippe Guitard, general director of Veolia Voda for central Europe and Russia, said the company's target was to expand its market share across the central Europe region to equal its existing 45% share in the Czech Republic.
