Human sexuality in Africa: Beyond reproduction

摘要

Human sexuality is a topic that has intrigued scholars for centuries. By far the majority of these scholars focus on human sexuality in relation to procreation. This edited volume is a product of a series of seminars focusing on the topic of human sexuality in Africa that were held in 2005 in four different countries: Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa, and which were organised by the African Regional Sexuality Resource Centre (ARSRC). The primary difference between this book and most other publications on this topic is its focus on human sexuality as an aspect of pleasure rather than procreation.
