Trimble Handhelds

Trimble has introduced durable, lightweight field computing devices with integrated Global Positioning System (GPS) technology, the new Trimble Juno SB and Juno SC handhelds. In addition to integrated GPS, both models include wireless LAN (WLAN) and Bluetooth connectivity, 3-Megapixel camera, 533-MHz processor, 128MB onboard memory, MicroSD/SDHC memory card slot, all-day battery, and 3.5-inch display. The Juno series can achieve 2- to 5-metre GPS positioning accuracy, post-processed or in real-time, with Satellite Based AugmentationrnSystems (SBAS) such as the US Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS), European Geostationary Navigation Overlay System (EGNOS), and Japan's Multi-Functional Satellite Augmentation System (MSAS). For organisations wishing to equip fieldworkers with highspeed international internet connectivity, the Juno SC handheld includes a 3.5G High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) broadband cellular modem. The data transmission capabilities of the Juno SC enable fieldworkers to access email and download large files and maps without going to the office. Mobile workers can access and update mission-critical information in real time.
