World Bank Land and Poverty Talks

FIG president CheeHai Teo and a group of FIG experts joined the Annual World Bank Conference on Land and Poverty held at the World Bank in Washington DC (USA) on 18th April. This was a 'Land Community' event; according to World Bank this community continues to grow. Professionals from the public and private sector, civil society, academia and World Bank's development partners (FIG is one joined the event. Food security, rapid urbanisation, mitigating and adapting to climate change, preventing and managing conflict, and ensuring gender equality all pose contemporary land-related issues and challenges.
