Paul Kruger(1925-2010)

Professor Paul Kruger, the last surviving founder of the Stanford Geothermal Program passed away on 17 September 2010, at the age of 85. The Program was created by him, Lou London and Hank Ramey in the 1970s. In addition to founding the program, Prof. Kruger was the architect of the annual Stanford Geothermal Workshop, which began in 1975 and continues to this day. Prof. Kruger wrote two well-known books on geothermal and renewable energy, firstly "Geothermal Energy; Resources, Production, Stimulation" in 1973 with Carel Otte and secondly "Alternative Energy Resources: The Quest for Sustainable Energy" in 2006. He also wrote a book on "Principles of Activation Analysis" in 1973.
