摘要

The authors would like to appreciate the discusser Dr. Sanjay Kumar Shukla for his interest in our paper. The following comments all refer to the points made by the respected discusser. First, it is worthy to emphasize that the pseudo-dynamic solution of seismic earth pressure with planar failure surface depends on two variables: the geometric variable α and the time variable t/T. Both of these parameters are obtained during the optimization procedure and so are not predefined. Therefore, any expression for the angle α would be a function of variable t/T as well as predefined parameters such as soil friction angle (ψ), horizontal seismic coefficient (k_h), vertical seismic coefficient (k_v), cohesion (c), wall friction angle (δ), and amplification factor (f_a).
