Modern land and marine acquisition is done with azimuth in mind. Surveys are designed and acquired to ensure not just appropriate fold, aperture, bandwidth, and amplitude response, but also proper azimuthal coverage so that anisotro-pic information can be preserved during the processing. We have presented a methodology that utilizes hybrid gathers: offset vector tiles and offset vector gathers that will preserve azimuthal information even after time or depth migration. Furthermore, this information can then be used to construct a volumetric measurement of the fractured reservoir in the field.
