Efficient stepped approach to site investigation for underwater archaeological studies

Although no critical evidence-based proof can be given as to the effectiveness of the methodology presented in this study, the work at Maasvlakte II does provide an antecedent for the design of future underwater archaeological investigations. The integrated, multidisciplinary approach allows an efficient, systematic and scientifically sound appraisal of the area under investigation.
