AAGGP: Twenty years accompanying Argentina's growth in the energy sector

The Asociacion Argentina de Geologos y Geofisicos Petrole-ros (AAGGP) turned 20 years old in March 2014. In 1994, a group of enthusiastic petroleum geoscientists envisioned the importance of founding a professional association focused on the oil and gas industry and its related geoscience challenges: the science of petroleum geology and geophysics. In 1986, the opening of the oil and gas industry to public investments brought Argentina's petroleum geoscientists to the need of being better connected with other international professional associations and colleagues around the world to discuss industry-specific and technical topics, share experiences, promote technical and educational events, and collaborate efforts with similar organizations.
