Heritage Law in Australia

This book is aimed at both a professional legal audience and the layperson. Although legal jargon and Latin phrases have been kept to a minimum and usually, though not always, explained, the book still retains characteristics of a legal textbook with a degree of formality and sometimes dense writing. In other words, it is a very good reference for anyone wanting, specific information on aspects of Australian heritage law, but not a book to be read for relaxation. For those with legal interests and heritage professionals who need an entry to the realm of heritage law, it contains detailed lists of legislation, international conventions, and relevant cases. All of these are discussed in the text where appropriate. There is also a substantial bibliography, which, together with the lists, enables readers to follow up on particular issues. The list of websites, however, is disappointingly small, given the amount of relevant information available through that medium.
