Le Technicentre de Lyon-Gerland a été conçu d'emblée pour une construction en deux étapes, par souci d'économie, en s'adaptant à la capacité de maintenance évoluant de 30 à 60 rames. L'originalité de ce projet a consisté en un phasage des travaux perturbant le moins possible les premières années d'exploitation.%The Lyon-Gerland Technicentre was designed from the outset to be built in two stages for economic reasons by adapting it to a maintenance capacity that would evolve from 30 to 60 trainsets.
