Driven by a growing need for baby diapers and feminine hygiene products, efficient solutions for the production of coverstocks were required. Whilst it was initially mainly staple fibre web which dominated this market, more and more staple fibre equipment lost ground to the faster and more cost-effective Spunbonds. Thermobonding equipment for staple fiber are nevertheless still running successfully today for high demands on the softness of materials.
