An SGP printer must commit the resources necessary to be sustainable. For SGP verification, the SGP printer must document its efforts. Although first-year audits have some flexibility to give the printer a chance to refine their SGP procedures and documents, subsequent audits will be based on good documentation showing the printer meets all the applicable SMS and BMP requirements. SGP status is a printer's evolving commitment to continually improve sustainabil-ity, social responsibility, and environmental awareness.
