In Part 2, numerous examples are given of applications of the process, from meter-long laminates for heat-exchangers to micro-reactors and artistic objects with micron- or millimeter dimensions. Among the most widely used examples are shadow-masks for cathode ray tubes, with a global turnover of some USD6 billion. Photochemical processing scores especially for high-volume production runs of items with very small dimensions, or where there are numerous parallel processing steps on a single substrate. The technique is equally attractive in the manufacture of art objects with complex geometries.
