KENGO KUMA: DELLIS CAY SPA RESORT

ニューヨークから飛行機で3時間ほど南下した，カリブ海タークスカイコス諸島の小島ディリス・ケイ全体の開発プロジェクト。ディリス・ケイ全体のマスタープランをザハ・ハディドが監修し，島の各エリアを7名の建築家（ザハ・ハディド，デヴィット・チッパーフィールド，坂茂，ピエロ・リッソーニ，キース・ホッブス，カール・エテンシュベルガー，赹裱形幔─钎顶ぅ螭筏皮い搿%A comprehensive development project for Dellis Cay, a small island in the Turks and Caicos Islands of the Caribbean Sea, a 3-hour plane ride from New York. The overall master plan of Dellis Cay is being supervised by Zaha Hadid, while various areas on the island are being designed by five architects: Zaha Hadid, David Chipperfield, Shigeru Ban, Piero Lissoni and Kengo Kuma. Our group is in charge of the Spa Villa facing the lake lo- cated in the center of the island and the state-protected mangrove, the Spa Main which is to serve as a hub facility for recreational activities on the island, and Villa type 1 facing Westside beach, the most beautiful spot on the island. Our idea for these villas is to create spaces that would melt into the splendid nature and the warm climate.
