Eskimo Express - the Same Day Temperature Controlled Courier service, is highlighting their recent additions to the fleet. Two brand new Citroen Relay L3H2 diesel vans converted by Paneltex Somers with the latest refrigeration units. Split compartments may not be a new innovation, however, what makes these vehicles special is that each compartment has it's own evaporator, allowing independent temperature regulation either side of the specially designed "Flexi-temp" internal bulkhead. Therefore, whilst one compartment could be operating at plus 25 degrees, the other one could be operating at minus 25 degrees (or any temperature in-between) - the bulkhead ensuring total temperature separation and integrity. Tony Colato - MD added: "The Foodservice sector is a regular user of split compartment vehicles due to the nature of the varied food product load temperature requirements. These vehicles have been very popular since they were added a few months ago. With increasing importance of food temperature stability within the logistics arena, it was important to find a way to ensure temperatures can be as stable as possible when loads are separated within the vehicle."
