With unprecedented change occurring in healthcare, data are growing exponentially. A staggering amount of all types of data is being generated across the continuum of providers, payers, and consumers. Aggregating, coordinating, sharing, and using accurate and reliable data are essential to achieving clinical integration and advancing healthcare's transformation. How can hospitals and health systems harness, mine, and store data; use analytics; and make the huge capital investment in technology required to facilitate the transition from volume-based to value-based care and reimbursement and develop innovative delivery models?
