摘要

In today's complex and rapidly changing healthcare environment, physician leadership is critical. Redesigning the healthcare delivery model to improve quality, safety, and the patient experience; prevent readmissions; and decrease costs requires engaged, integrated, and effective physician leaders. The clinical influence of physicians is key to successful operational and financial outcomes. Clinical-administrative partnerships, including the formal dyad relationship, are necessary to navigate challenges and move hospitals and health systems toward transformation.
