摘要

The adsorption properties of m-cresol on β-cyclodextrin polymer (CYDP) were investigated. The kinetics and isotherms of adsorption, effect of pH and desorption were studied. Results of batch experiments showed that CYDP exhibited some adsorption capacity toward m-cresol (about 46.5 umol/g, conditions: initial concentration of m-cresol, 0.464 mmol/L; temperature: 20 ℃). Adsorption kinetics fitted well by Ho-McKay equation and Weber-Morris model, suggesting that the adsorption may be chemisorp-tion and intraparticle diffusion was not the only rate-controlling step. Freundlich isotherm gave the best correlation for the adsorption of m-cresol on CYDP. The desorption performances of CYDP was good and it could be considered as a kind of recyclable adsorbent.
