In this study, we assessed the level of some heavy metals such as lead (Pb), nickel (Ni), cadmium (Cd), and zinc (Zn) in both soils and leaf and roots of roses (Rosa gallica) planted at six of the busiest intersections that have heavy vehicle traffics in Erzurum city center. The results showed that the accumulation of heavy metals (Pb, Ni, Cd, and Zn) in the rose leaves were significantly higher than in roots. The distribution of the heavy metals in the soils decreased in the order Pb>Zn>Ni>Cd.
