Le Soi comme fondement de la fonction de synthèse du Moi ? Hypothèses à partir du rêve

The author refers to the study of dreams and the hallucinatory space, as considered in particular by C. and S. Botella, in order to attempt to explain the notion of the synthetic function of the Ego and that of the Self in their relation to two types of cleavage distinguished by G. Bayle as deep and « functional » cleavages. The synthetic function of the Ego appears to him to indicate the underlying presence of an intimate experience: the archaic experience of the self-regulating unit of the body, an experience that is originally supported by and extended to the mother. This experience is the very experience of the Self. The deep cleavages (whose decompensation is hallucinatorily represented by nightmares ripping open sleep and dreams) indicate a defensive ajustment of a flaw in this experience. The functional cleavages, on the other hand, operate on the basis of a maintained integrity of the underlying regulating experience that they rather help confirm.%L'auteur s'appuie sur l'étude du rêve et de l'espace hallucinatoire - tel que vu en particulier par C. et S. Les clivages profonds (dont le cauchemar, éventrant le sommeil et le rêve, figurerait hallu- cinatoirement la décompensation) relèveraient d'un aménagement défensif d'une faille dans ce vécu. Les clivages fonctionnels joueraient au contraire sur fond d'intégrité maintenue de l'expérience régulatrice d'arrière-plan, qu'ils contribueraient plutôt à confirmer.
