The Iraqi Security Forces are overseen by the Ministry of Defense and the Iraqi National Security Committee. The National Security Committee includes Defense, Interior, Foreign, Justice, and Finance ministers, plus the national security adviser for the prime minister, the director of intelligence, and the director's senior military adviser. Under the Ministry of Defense's jurisdiction are the Joint Forces Command, Counter-Terrorist Command, Ground Forces Command, Support Command, Training and Doctrine Command, Navy, and Air Force.
