Frenkel's decision to go public was apparently sparked by a $15,000 bounty for his identity put up by a so-called patent troll—the derogatory phrase for those thought to opportunistically act against alleged patent infringements. Now Cisco Chief Executive John Chambers may be wondering why he hadn't imposed a draconian employee-blogging policy.
