But the 34-year-old Emory University graduate doesn't want to cater to the big investment banks; he wants to compete with them.rnSilbert is the creator of SecondMarket, an electronic exchange that lists $30 billion worth of tough-to-trade assets, including restricted shares in public companies, collateralized debt obligations, auction-rate securities and bankruptcy claims. In 2009 SecondMarket, which Silbert launched five years earlier, collected $35 million in fees by connecting buyers and sellers and clearing trades.
