摘要

The Symposium focussed on those areas that suppliers, manufacturers and retailers have to face in moving food from 'farm to fork', especially following such food safety concerns as the recent Sudan 1 incident, including importing, waste disposal and changing legislation. The Symposium was well attended, with a mix of delegates from enforcement, government, food manufacturing and even a few student food scientists. Scottish Branch Committee members prepared the following personal notes which provide an insight into the messages delivered by six interesting and diverse speakers.
