Coke targets 100% plant-based packaging by 2020

The Coca-Cola Company has announced partnership agreements with three biotech companies - Virent, Gevo and Avantium - to accelerate the development of packaging made 100% from plant-based materials. All three companies develop plant-based alternatives to materials traditionally made from fossil fuels and other non-renewable resources.
