New v.p. of product innovation at S&D Coffee & Tea

S&D Coffee & Tea, Concord, N.C., recently hired Eric Nakata as vice-president of product innovation. Mr. Nakata will work out of the company's Concord plant, demonstrating its commitment to strategic partnerships essential to the development and introduction of beverage, ingredient and extract applications. Over the past 10 years, he has worked with Newly Weds Foods to develop batter, breading and seasonings, as director of research and development for Mont Blanc Gourmet, as an embedded chef at McDonald's Corp. and as senior culinary innovations chef for Nestle.
