A.A.F.C. raises wheat forecast, lowers oats and canola projections

Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada on May 17 raised its preliminary forecast for Canadian wheat production in 2019 while lowering its projections for oats and canola. The adjustments from April took into consideration the planted area forecasts for principal crops issued by Statistics Canada on April 24, a week after the previous A.A.F.C. monthly supply-and-demand report was released.
