PET bottle takes the world by storm

The PET bottle is unstoppable. It is lightweight, unbreakable and can be reused several times. At the end of its product life, it can be washed and ground into a valuable, reasonably priced secondary material. Erema is a specialist in the processing of this material which is available in large quantities the world over. The result of its latest efforts is the new "Erema Inline Technology". In this process, Erema has eliminated external - until now necessary - cost-intensive predrying as well as external crystallisation and the extra step of regranulation. Instead, the material is converted directly into a new product, for example PET ther-moforming sheet.%Die PET-Flasche ist nicht mehr aufzuhalten. Sie ist leicht, unzerbrechlich und mehrfach verwendbar. Am Ende ihrer Lebensdauer stellt sie in gewaschener und gemahlener Form einen wertvollen kostengünstigen Sekundär-stoff dar. Erema hat sich auf die Verarbeitung dieses in sehr großen Mengen weltweit vorhandenen Rohstoffes spezialisiert. Das Ergebnis ist die neue Erema „In-Line Technologie": Ohne externes - herkömmlich notwendiges - kostenintensives Vortrocknen und ohne Kristallisation sowie ohne den Umweg über Regranulieren erfolgt die Umwandlung direkt in ein neues Produkt, zum Beispiel PET-Tiefziehfolie.
