Two years ago, public and enthusiasts alike were invited to take part in a rare treat - a friendly, innovative airshow held at a lovely aerodrome. Those who attended were unanimous in their praise and so a sequel was dropped into the diary for 2006 Delightful Sywell, Northampton's airport, glories in art-deco architecture and the warmest of welcomes. Flushed with the success of the 2004 show, the organisers decided to extend the event to take in a varied weekend. On Saturday, September 23, a very successful 60th anniversary DHC Chipmunk fly-in was held, with the show itself taking place on the Sunday.
