When I was at school, I loved art. Then came the day when you had to make a choice between certain subjects. For me the worst possible combination was to find history and art in the same group. So the world lost an artist and gained a historian (well, sort of...). I know that FlyPast readers like their aviation art and I'm proud of the fact that the magazine has for a long time now ploughed a pioneering furrow covering this subject. Our artist profiles series puts Martin Bleasby under the spotlight this time - see page 40.
