Sabre back in the air

Commonwealth CA-27 Sabre A94-983 (VH-IPN) made its first post-restoration flight from Temora, New South Wales, Australia, on July 16. The jet, which had not flown since 1993, had been rebuilt over the past three years by members of the Temora Aviation Museum engineering team.rnThe Sabre was loaned to the museum by the RAAF under an agreement made in 2005 by the Chief of the Air Force, in an effort to preserve historical military aircraft. It will become a feature of Temora's regular flying weekends and selected Australian Defence Force Airshows.
