The Texas Flying Legends Museum Corsair was around, if not serviceable, when one of the most bizarre conflicts ever broke out. During the qualifying rounds for the 1970 Football World Cup - held in Mexico, in June 1969 - El Salvador faced its much larger neighbour, Honduras, and won. As well as the football, there were disputed borders and immigration tensions between the two countries.
