Last month we published Anthony Barton's photograph of an aircraft's periscope, which was made by Kelvin & Hughes, and asked if anyone had information on its history. We were deluged with replies. Here are a few of the responses: Adam Hermitage e-mailed to say, "I initially cleaned the Valiant nose section at Brooklands Museum in the 1990s. Stowed behind the pilot's seat was such a periscope that slotted into an aperture in the roof. The picture of it looks remarkably similar."
