Aside from the British Royal Air Force, the only nations to operate the Avro Lincoln in significant numbers were Australia and Argentina. The latter obtained 30 aircraft for the Fuerza Aerea Argentina (Argentine Air Force), along with 15 Lancasters. Entering service with I Grupo de Bombardeo of V Brigada Aerea from 1947, 18 of the Lincolns were newly built, with the others being former RAF examples.
