Rare Arsenal VG.33 fighter makes progress in France

For several years, French association Arsenal Sud Restauration (ASR) has been rebuilding an example of the little-known Arsenal VG.33 fighter at Vinon-sur-Verdon airfield in southeastern France. The VG.33 was one of a series of fast French monoplanes being developed at the start of World War Two, but it matured too late to see extensive service. Only five of the machines flew with an active unit - GCI/55, which began operations only five days before France fell to the Germans.
