Phantom on display outside German barracks

McDonnell Douglas F-4F Phantom 37+61 was moved from Neuberg airbase in Germany in April, to nearby Wilhelm-Frankl-Kaserne to mark the 60th anniversary of the Luftwaffe's JG 74. The restored and freshly painted exhibit belongs to the modern-day incarnation of the unit, Taktisches Luftwaffengeschwader 74.The aircraft was retired from duty in 2006.
