Unique SAAB B18 bomber completed in Sweden

The restoration of SAAB B18B Red David has concluded at the Swedish Air Force Museum (Flygvapenmuseum) near Linkoping, Sweden. The bulk of the work was done in the 1980s after the bomber - the only complete example - was recovered from a bay at Harnosand in 1979. In recent years, the museum team has been focusing on recreating the aircraft's interior with instruments, controls, pilot's seat, bomb sight and other equipment. Several components had to be built from scratch using original documents for reference.
