This edition of Flying Safety Magazine demonstrates the importance of in-depth flight planning and accomplishing a good preflight. Numerous aircrews have again taken a few moments to share their experiences with other Airmen, for which I'm grateful. Every mission, from the most routine milk-run to putting ordnance on target, needs a good plan to enable success. Everyone's heard "a plan is just a baseline for change." That's true, but without a good baseline -in-depth flight planning and mission study - your options for change are limited, because your cranium's lacking the data it needs to make real-time decisions.
