The EVX-48 started life as a quick and dirty R/C profile designed for performing sport aerobatics. I wanted a plane that would fly smoothly enough for decent Pattern flying, but agile enough for some 3D. I finished the profile design drawings, but the building part was put aside as other projects took precedence. I started rethinking the design when I was looking for something new to bring to last Fall's NEAT Fair. I really didn't want to bring a profile, so I decided to rework the profile fuselage into a built-up design. I really like the resultant fuselage shape that included a rather unique front end combined with the smooth compound curvy aft section.
