Tell us about your career to date I started my career in 1982, joining the Royal Air Force as a gas turbines engineer, working with fast jets. Later, I moved into civil aviation and trained to become a multitype-rated licensed aircraft engineer working on a wide variety of aircraft, from small turbo-props to widebodies. I then migrated into aviation sales for Dallas Airmotive, a powerplant overhaul company, supporting various companies across Europe. My training career started at Flybe in Exeter in 1997. I joined as a technical instructor, advancing to senior instructor, then finally training manager up until 2013. In 2014, I took on the role of engineering training manager at Virgin Atlantic's Academy of Engineering Training.
