Boeing has partnered Greenpoint Technologies to offer sleeper berths and lounges for 747-8 VIP operators, announcing orders to outfit four aircraft.rnThe two companies have won orders involving two head-of-state aircraft and to supply two kits for a Middle Eastern client.rnThe announcement of the partnership and contracts give a new lease of life to the novel feature.rnThe Overhead Space Utilization (OSU) kit provides areas of up to 75m~2 (807ft~2) with room for as many as 16 sleeper berths or two lounge modules, set above the main cabin in the crown of the aircraft between doors three and five. "It's like we slid a BBJ into the 747," says incoming BBJ chief Steve Taylor.
