Progress, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. To a military operator, the proliferation of unmanned aircraft since 2001 is wondrous. To a government regulator, unmanned aviation is still in a technological dark age, so access to national airspace is not forthcoming.As attendees gather in Las Vegas for the Unmanned Systems North America convention, the regulator's perspective should be a big concern.
